Silk painting was the beginning of my textile art business, after being introduced to it by a friend from college in the 1980s'. And after a short spell learning the basic skills in her studio in Camden Lock, London.

I started my own business concentrating on creating greeting cards and later on scarves, and window mounted paintings, which I sold at craft markets and craft fairs in London.

My next collection of silk paintings will have, as a feature, machine embroidery.

The paintings are window mounted in handmade paper and card backing.
